1. Musical programs for senior citizens'
facility

Work with local men/women service groups, Kiwanas, Elks, Masons.
(student performance at meetings)..possible money for scholarships from
these organizations.
3. Student or group performance at local hospitals.
4. Summer in the parks programs! get the kids doing something during
the
summer!! SMALL instrumental or choral groups. Perform for
community! Sleepy time for some kids ...get them involved.
4. Outreach activities through the public library.
a. Explore a composer (music, style period).
b. historical topic related to area where you are located.
c. With local individuals create a presentation that relates to the
group
working with and developing interaction to support the topic.
d. Provide information, listening, handouts, web page
before the event so that the individuals can prepare for the
presentation with knowledge or opportunity for interaction musically.
5.Look to Local Residents or Area Based Groups as sometimes they are
note considered.

6. Outreach activities through the local museum or local history site.
Develop or include music that has some type of relevance to the local
or museum theme.
*This can be done with a small group of students.
Try to incorporate communications or coordination with persons in
charge of the organization so their input with relevant material can be
included.
Pre activity--a. Assess and discover interests that are shared between
your musical resources and the potential audience members.
b.
Develop intense communications before to determine interests and
differences between participants and audience members.
